Community Access

Forever Living Care Services is dedicated to fostering community inclusion through our program designed for individuals with disabilities. This initiative seeks to champion inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunities for every individual we support within their local communities. The program is committed to breaking down barriers and offering the necessary support and resources that empower individuals with disabilities to engage actively in all aspects of community life.

Our goal is to cultivate a vibrant community where individuals and their support staff can actively participate in meaningful activities throughout the day and evening. As part of this effort, FLCS members and their support staff regularly attend the MNP community sports complex in the heart of downtown Calgary. At the MNP community sports complex, our individuals are supported in doing the following activities but are not limited to:

Treadmill / Exercise Bike

Walking on the track

Playing Basketball

Playing Soccer / Kick / Pass Ball

Swimming / Diving

Arts and Crafts

Badminton

 

 

 

The afternoons are used for other various activities the individuals may be interested in, but not limited to, for example:

Big Fun in Calgary

Bowling

Flying Squirrel in Calgary

Walks in various parks (ones with swings)

Matinee Movie

Music therapy

Yoga

Dance therapy

Games

Storytime

 

Some individuals do independent activities according to their abilities and interests some examples are but are not limited to:

Cooking classes

Art classes

Dance classes

Overall, the goal of a Community Access Program for FLCS individuals with disabilities is to create an inclusive community that embraces diversity and ensures equal opportunities for all its members, regardless of their abilities. The Community Access Program plays a crucial role in promoting social integration, independence, and empowerment among individuals with disabilities.
