Indigenous Support Program

In acknowledgment of the distinctive healthcare requirements of Indigenous communities, Forever Living Care Services (FLCS) is dedicated to establishing the Indigenous Wellness Initiative. Dedicated to cultural proficiency, accessibility, and comprehensive well-being, this initiative aims to rectify current deficiencies in healthcare provision. This initiative addresses existing gaps in healthcare delivery. Extensive cultural competence training for all FLCS staff is critical, fostering continuous learning to enhance understanding and respect for Indigenous cultures. The initiative includes the formation of a local Indigenous advisory council and facilitates collaborations with Indigenous organizations. The overarching goal is to expand outreach, enhance healthcare accessibility, and integrate traditional healing practices through meaningful partnerships.

Our Program Implementation:

To bring the Indigenous Wellness Initiative to fruition, FLCS will design a comprehensive cultural competence training curriculum, making mandatory training sessions for all staff members. Beyond organizational boundaries, the program actively engages in community health fairs, offering free health screenings and consultations. FLCS will also recruit Indigenous health navigators to facilitate healthcare access and implement telehealth options for remote communities. Prioritizing holistic well-being, the initiative embraces traditional healing practices and provides mental health support aligned with Indigenous cultural norms. Continuous evaluation, guided by performance metrics and community feedback, will steer improvements, ensuring the ongoing relevance and effectiveness of the program. Through these initiatives, FLCS aims to address the immediate healthcare needs of Indigenous communities and establish a foundation for enduring, collaborative relationships built on trust and respect.
