Respite Services
Respite Services
FLCS provides respite services for individuals facing intellectual or physical disabilities. Our goal is to assist primary caregivers and families by providing intervals of relief from their caregiving duties. This not only helps prevent caregiver fatigue and burnout but also plays a crucial role in reducing staff turnover rates as a key component of our caregivers' wellness program. The FLCS Respite Service Program is flexible, offering both in-home and out-of-home options.
In-Home Respite: Our in-home respite caregivers provide support within the individual's own home, allowing the primary caregiver a reprieve while keeping the individual in familiar surroundings. Respite services are typically available from 4 p.m. on Friday to 4 p.m. on Sunday, with flexible scheduling options. Care can be provided every weekend, every other weekend, or once per month, tailored to the preferences of residence providers, individuals, and families.
Out-of-Home Respite: For a short period, individuals can leave their primary residential home and stay in another home, receiving more intensive support when needed. This out-of-home respite program operates from 4 p.m. on Friday to 4 p.m. on Sunday, with flexible scheduling options similar to in-home respite. Additionally, evening out-of-home respite services are available every day from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Benefits of Respite Services: At FLCS, we believe respite services benefit caregivers, families, and the individuals receiving care. Caregivers can use this time to rest, attend to personal matters, or simply have time for themselves. Meanwhile, individuals in need of care get the chance to explore new environments, engage in activities, socialize, and experience a change in routine.
Commitment to Quality and Flexibility: FLCS is dedicated to providing high-quality services that build strong relationships with families, individuals, medical professionals, caseworkers, and collaborative organizations. Our programs are designed to be flexible, catering to the unique needs of each family and individual.
